For the time being, we are only featuring one destination in the Indian Ocean: the gorgeous lush tropical island of Mauritius.

Mauritius

In recent years, Mauritius has become synonymous with sunshine, luxury and excptional spa resorts. Golf, it seems, is now part of this mix - as one half of many couples prefers the greens to a full day in the spa. The island is also loaded with historic sights, cultural diversity, geographic variation and numerous activities to wrench you or your other half away from the onerous daily exertions of beach and pool.

Mauritius is a great destination pretty much all year round, and is perfect for both adults and families. It has the extra advantage as being in roughly the same time zone as Europe.

Mauritius enjoys a tropical climate with a warm, dry winter from May through to November and a hot and humid summer from November to May. Anti-cyclones affect the country during May to September and cyclones affect the country during November to April.
