Alongside our friends at TF Travel, we’re thrilled to be running an exclusive luxury group trip to Bangkok and Cambodia next April, taking in some of the most magical sights in Southeast Asia alongside genuinely exceptional hotels. It’s a wonderful mix of culture, history and relaxation, and we think it’s one of our most exciting group trips yet.

Bangkok

We start with four nights at the stunning Banyan Tree Bangkok, a high-rise hotel with the most incredible views across the city from its 21st-floor pool. You’ll find a brilliant choice of restaurants here too, from the rooftop Vertigo to the all-day dining at Romsai. On our first evening, we’ll board the Saffron Dinner Cruise and enjoy a delicious Thai set dinner as we drift along the Chao Phraya River and watch the city lights go by.

From there, we’ve included two very different days out. One takes you to Kanchanaburi, with a visit to the famous Bridge on the River Kwai and a scenic train ride through the Kwai Noi gorge. The other is an early start for the Damnoen Saduak Floating Markets, followed by a relaxing paddle boat ride through the canals. There’s also a free day to explore Bangkok at your own pace.

Siem Reap

A short flight takes us on to Siem Reap and the beautiful Raffles Grand d’Angkor, a charming 1932 Art Deco hotel with original cage lifts still in use and a wonderfully atmospheric Elephant Bar. It’s the perfect base for exploring the temples of Angkor.

We kick things off with an Evening Vespa Foodie Tour, weaving through Siem Reap’s street markets and sampling delicious Khmer dishes (and a few more adventurous ones, if you’re feeling brave!). Then comes the highlight of the trip: an afternoon exploring Angkor Thom and the Bayon, with its hundreds of carved stone faces, and an early morning visit to the breathtaking Angkor Wat before the crowds arrive. A full day on Tonle Sap Lake rounds things off, with a traditional wooden boat ride through floating villages and lunch in a local family home.

Phnom Penh

Two nights at the elegant Raffles Hotel Le Royal give us a beautiful, peaceful base in the capital, set around a lovely tropical courtyard with two pools. The morning’s touring here is a little more reflective, with visits to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek and the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum offering important insight into Cambodia’s recent history, followed by some time to browse the stalls of the Russian Market.

Koh Rong

Our final four nights are spent at the gorgeous Royal Sands Koh Rong, an island retreat of white sand, swaying palms and a villa pool overlooking the Gulf of Thailand. This is where the trip really slows down, with plenty of time for paddleboarding, beach walks and evenings by the fire pit watching a beautiful sunset.
