Our Visit Aboard The Regent Seven Seas Splendor

Kathryn, Sally and myself were welcomed aboard the Regent ‘Seven Seas Splendor’ ship last week. We were treated to a guided tour plus a delicious lunch to sample their famous on-board cuisine.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises are known for meticulous attention to detail and all-inclusive indulgence, their intimate ships and attentive crew offer a stylish, seamless ocean travels. Guests enjoy unlimited shore excursions, excellent on-board amenities, and world-class dining.

First on the tour was the magnificent entrance featuring shimmering chandeliers and luxurious but relaxed seating areas. On arrival for your cruise, you’ll be welcome aboard here with a glass champagne – the perfect start to your holiday!

We then took a tour of the various accommodation options available, a fantastic highlight of Regent cruise ships is that they have no interior cabins, all have exterior views with generous balconies. Ten suite options are on offer ranging from 28.5M² to a staggering 412M² in the opulent Regent Suite. I loved to see the special touches in the suites which included luxurious toiletries, robes, champagne, Petit Fours, coffee machines, a range of teas, Dyson hairdryers (in some suites) and more (we don’t want to ruin all of the surprises!). We went on to view the various amenities on-board, and believe me, you’ll never be short of things to do if you wish to keep active. The gym offers state of the art equipment overlooking the ocean as well as fitness classes including aerobics, Pilates and yoga. And, for those looking to incorporate some spa time we highly recommend a visit to Serene Spa and Wellness for a deluxe treatment. (Note: Spa treatments are one of the few amenities on-board that incur an additional fee).

For some exercise in the fresh air you can take advantage of the outdoor running track, mini-golf, shuffle board or racquet sports.

Dining is, as you would expect, first class. We were lucky enough to enjoy lunch at Chartreuse which offers classic French dining with a twist. We enjoyed a tasting menu of lobster and melons, butternut squash and coconut soup, followed by roasted black angus beef tenderloin and finally, with barely any room to spare, Regent’s signature chocolate cheesecake. Absolutely everything was a 10/10, including the service.

The Splendor certainly was incredibly special with every little detail thought of to ensure am exceptional stay for all guests, we just wish we could have joined the guests who were boarding for their ocean adventure!
