For those who enjoy staying active on holiday, but without the pressure of a structured routine, padel has become an increasingly popular option. It’s sociable, easy to pick up, and a fantastic way to keep moving while still feeling very much on holiday. Padel at Ikos resorts is a great choice to combine the ease of a luxury all-inclusive with a resort that offers a plethora of activies.
If padel is new to you, simply put, it’s a mix of tennis and squash, and typically played in doubles on an enclosed court. It’s fast-paced but low-impact, which makes it accessible for all ages and fitness levels. Most guests find they pick it up within a few minutes, it’s pretty addictive!
For an Ikos resort you choices are Ikos Porto Petro in Mallorca or the soon-to-open Ikos Kissamos on Crete’s peaceful west coast (opening 2026 but bookings now open).
At Ikos Porto Petro, you’ll find three outdoor padel courts nestled within the resort’s beautifully landscaped grounds. There are also three tennis courts, a mini football pitch, and a wide range of watersports. It’s a particularly good option for families or couples looking for variety. Private coaching is available ($50 per 30min lesson) and you can also hire equipment as needed. Courts can be booked through the resort concierge or app.
Ikos Kissamos will offer two floodlit padel courts and four tennis courts, all designed with the same understated elegance and stunning views that you expect from Ikos. This new resort has been carefully positioned to make the most of the area’s natural beauty, and the courts will sit just a short walk from the sea. The setting is ideal for those who want to combine gentle activity with complete relaxation, perhaps a morning match followed by a massage or yoga class.
At the moment, padel is only available at Porto Petro and Kissamos, but tennis remains a firm fixture across the whole collection (and its very likely courts may be added in the future). Resorts including Ikos Dassia, Ikos Odisia (both in Corfu), Ikos Olivia and Ikos Oceania (in Halkidiki), and Ikos Andalusia on Spain’s southern coast all offer well-maintained tennis courts, typically two to three per resort, most of which are floodlit for cooler evening play.
