Castello Di Casole

At the heart of the hilltop estate on a quiet pedestrian path you will find the inviting Essere Spa. Originally the estate’s wine cellar, the Spa offers a serene setting within one of the most dramatic spaces on the property. Barrel-vaulted ceilings and restored stone walls create a theatrical setting accentuated by long views across an expansive valley.  Pools, steam rooms and comfortable spaces allow for ample relaxation, while the serene surroundings transport you to a simpler time. There are seven treatment rooms, secluded men’s and women’s areas, a spectacular couple’s treatment suite with deep soaking tub and shower, and luxurious private outdoor gardens.  The spa also offers yoga and pilates classes.

Once you’ve spent enough time in the spa or lounging beside the pool overlooking the rolling hills and you feel it’s now time for something more energetic, the hotel can organise a wealth of activities for both adults and children. They will plan vineyard and bike tours, day hikes, long walks and horseback rides through the hillsides as well as specialist kid’s activities and cultural excursions to local towns and cities. Or you can hit the fitness studio for a workout!

Foodies will not be disappointed at Castello di Casole.  The Executive chef focuses on the local produce from the gardens and fresh game and seafood in season with endless fresh bread and estate-grown extra virgin olive oil. For a more informal meal there is Pazzia Pizzeria serving delicious pasta and pizzas. With a focus on great flavours, and simple cooking techniques, Pazzia Pizzeria embodies all that is great about traditional Italian cooking.  Guests can also relax with a drink in Bar Visconti, named after the legendary filmmaker who once lived at the Castello. With stunning views, especially at sunset of Casole d’Elsa, the bar and outside loggia are the perfect place to unwind with a glass of the estate’s wine or a cocktail.

Children of all ages are welcome to come and stay at Castello di Casole. However, there are no specific facilities available for them. The spacious suites can have an extra cot or bed added to accommodate families more easily. Babysitting can be arranged upon request.
