In addition to its custom treatment programme, the spa contains the Indian Ocean’s first fully-fledged rooftop wellness centre. But there is also a marble-clad Turkish hammam, Niyama yoga studio and group cycle studio. The lagoon-like sand beach has its own club for food and drink and a long list of water sports. These include everything from game fishing and dolphin-spotting tours to windsurfing and snorkelling excursions. The hotel also has four pools.
The smallest accommodation option at Lux Grand Baie is the 65 m2 one-bedroom Junior Suite. They have a balcony or terrace and views of either the gardens or the ocean. The two bedroom Pool Villas have a private heated pool and barbeque space. They can sleep up to four adults and two children. The 180 m2 Pool Residences are similar, but located in a separate building connected to the hotel by a skywalk. Meanwhile, the 325 m2 Penthouse has three en suite bedrooms which can sleep up to eight.
