Family Holidays in Antigua

Carlisle Bay is a family friendly resort that features a wonderful children’s programme at the aptly named ‘Cool Kids Club’, fully equipped to ensure your youngest children are entertained throughout the day.  Set in the shade of the tropical gardens, the excellent and extensive facilities include the jungle gym, mini tennis courts, paddling pool and children’s movies shown daily in the screening room.

Kids aged seven to twelve years are entertained with the Crew Blue programme during the summer season including competitive sports, raft building, water sports and excursions.

In the school summer holidays, Crush is an action packed teenage programme which features a chill out room complete with Wii entertainment centre and events including beach barbecues, private movie screenings and a variety of activities such as wake boarding, zip-lining and yachting.

The Kids’ Club at all-inclusive Curtain Bluff is for 3 to 10 year olds and is under the supervision of a qualified Nursery Nurse.  Open from 09.00 – 12.00 and 13.30 – 16.00 so that children can join their parents for lunch, but gives parents plenty of time to ‘do their own thing’ during the mornings and afternoons.  The club is of ‘no fixed abode’ so the children will be exploring the resort and beach and take part in outdoor activities, sports and T-shirt painting. There is also a children’s playground on the beach.

For older children, there are plenty of sports activities to keep them happy and entertained, including sailing, windsurfing, diving, water skiing, and the opportunity to go on snorkelling and fishing trips, play tennis, basketball or squash as often as they want, at no extra cost.

Jumby Bay, set on its own private island just off Antigua, is one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive resorts and is very family friendly with a good children’s programme designed to provide their youngest guests from aged three to 12 years old with special services and amenities just for them. From kids’ menus to special events and fun activities, your children will be exceptionally looked after.

Jumbie is an Antiguan colloquial word meaning playful, mischievous spirit which is befitting this warm and friendly Caribbean island. It’s a wonderful place for children of all ages to explore the wildlife and natural surroundings. Children can also become involved in the Hawksbill Turtle Programme. Nannies and babysitting are available on request but at an additional charge.

St James Club and Villas has activities and facilities for all ages. For the little ones, the Kidz Club is for children aged 4 to 12 years and offers a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, mask making, treasure hunts and field games.  There’s even a children-only swimming pool and babysitting services available (at an additional charge).
