It’s under 4 hours flying time from London to Turkey, so it’s an easy family-friendly distance and you’ll be greeted by gorgeous sunny weather during the summer and warm temperate climate in both Spring and Autumn.
Fly to Bodrum for the luxury Kempinski Barbaros Bay with its fabulous spa and the excellent Gardens of Babylon for those on more of a budget. Both are with 45 minutes of the airport and 30 minutes from the buzzy coastal port of Bodrum itself.
Along with its secluded bays, hidden coves and historic treasures, Bodrum also offers all the delights of a world-class resort from designer shopping and authentic handicrafts to golf, scuba diving and outstanding sailing, not to mention fine dining and world-class nightlife. So you are really spoiled for choice, with the best of both worlds – get away from it all and get into the thick of things… In Bodrum, you be as secluded or sophisticated as you wish…
The sleekly styled D-Hotel, on the totally unspoilt Datca Peninsula, with its 5 private beaches is another superb option, with Dalaman International airport being the closest option. However, if you choose to arrive in style, D-Hotel can send a seaplane, helicopter or yacht to collect you from either airport. Closer still to Dalaman airport, is the excellent 4 star boutique D-Resort on the beach in Gocek.
Further east along the coast, near Fethiye, we recommend Hillside Beach Club for families that like to be active and entertained. It’s like a mini Club Med and very well priced outside peak season.
