Pilates has become, like yoga, hugely popular in recent times. It’s a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates.
He originally called his method Contrology, because he believed that his method uses the mind to control the muscles. So, what does Pilates really do for you and your body? Well, it’s a body conditioning routine that helps to not only build flexibility, but also strength, endurance, and coordination in the legs, abdominals, arms and back, improving posture.
Pilates is practised either on a mat or using Reformer machines.
As Pilates has become more popular, we have seen the number of programmes at hotels increase, as well as regular classes for guests.
In addition to the hotels above, these hotels offer optional pilates classes for guests either mat or within reformer studios.
