Morocco is ideal for a surfing holiday. Head to Agadir or Essaouira. Alternatively, try Costa Vicentina on Portugal’s west coast. If you’re with kids and looking for surfing fun, we would suggest the Algarve.
We love the boutique resort of Paradis Plage, located half an hour north of Agadir, on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. It’s just over 3 hours flying time from London and the weather is good all year round, though it does get pretty hot in July and August. Excellent on-site surf school with Rip Curl suits and Surftech boards. Lessons available to everyone over the age of 8. Also in Morocco, further north up the coast, we highly recommend the surfing in Essaouira and the cool little riads to stay in.
Sri Lanka’s south coast draws surfers in from far and wide. Head to Talalla Retreat for great surfing (and yoga).
