Fuerteventura offers a range of different trails and landscapes – you can traverse lava fields, cross canyons, scale goat trails into the mountains and cliffs and follow wide dirt roads that hug the coastline and give you access to pristine beaches. There’s plenty of steep climbs, panoramic views, hair-raising descents and technical challenges for the most accomplished of mountain bikers.
The modern bike centre at Playitas has more than 200 top brand bikes and the latest models on the market in a range of sizes so you don’t need to travel with your bike. You’ll find road bikes, mountain bikes, recreational bikes and kids’ bikes. Mountain bikes can be rented from €20 per day or €110 for a week.
Most mountain bike or road biking enthusiasts make the most of the resort’s daily programme of health and fitness classes to improve their bike ridining fitness levels during their stay. And, with around 20 classes each day to choose from, it’s not difficult to return home substantially fitter!
