The Verdura Spa philosophy at Verdura Golf & Spa Resort is centred on balancing the body and mind. Programmes and treatments offer a holistic approach to health, wellbeing and fitness; many are inspired by organic Sicilian ingredients including fresh plant extracts and cold-pressed plant oils. Treatments are focused around the four key areas of anti-ageing, detoxifying, fitness and thalassotherapy.

An experienced team of health professionals and therapists will consult with each guest to develop a personalised programme of treatments and fitness activities. Tailor-made treatments can focus on massage, golf-related exercise or anti-ageing. The treatments take inspiration from the island, using local ingredients such as pure olive oil, marine salt, seaweed mud and Sicilian seawater.

Housed in pavilions grouped around an open-air courtyard, the 4000 sq m spa has extensive treatment rooms (including double treatment suites), a  25m indoor swimming pool, a large hammam, saunas, a state-of-the-art gym and a hair and beauty centre. The Spa Bar, with a terrace overlooking the gardens, offers light meals, fruit and vegetable juices and infusions as well as healing teas.

Verdura spa has four outdoor thalassotherapy pools. Heated between 25°C and 37°C, each offers varying salt densities, minerals and organisms, with a series of waterfalls and whirlpools. These waters are used to tone, moisturise and revitalise the skin, as well as encourage circulation.

If you’re looking for something smaller and traditionally elegant, we would recommend staying at Villa Sant Andrea, a luxurious boutiqe hotel – that feels like a large private residence – with its own private beach overlooking Mazarro Bay.  It also has a delightful selection of spa treatments.
