Experience the Dolomites by mountain bike – you can cover a lot of ground and stop whenever suits you to admire the sensational views. This itinerary perfectly combines the breath-taking landscape with mountain rifugios and high quality cuisine. Each day you’ll cycle from hotel to hotel (or rifugio to rifugio), riding through pastures and meadows, climbing and descending passes and discovering lakes and streams, whilst exploring multiple cultures, languages and delicious food!

Activity Level: For strong, active and experienced mountain bikers in good physical condition who enjoy cycling, have a positive attitude and are prepared and capable of biking from five to seven hours a day.

Arrive in Alta Badia, check into your hotel and meet your guide for the week.
(6 hours biking, 36 miles)
Start off the tour with a fantastic warm-up day, turing the Sella Massif, enjoying your first glimpse of the incredible Dolomiti views. Return to your hotel to re-fuel on delicious cuisine and some well-earned rest.
(3 hours biking, 19 miles)
Spend the day cycling up and down through luscious meadows, pine forests and traditional Ladin villages.
(4.5 hours biking, 19 miles)
Cycle through the cultural town of San Martino, beautiful woods and idyllic farms onto the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Natural Park, down to Rifugio Fanes where you will spend the evening, trying out delicious regional cuisine.
(4 hours biking, 21 miles)
A spectacular ride continuing through the National Park, alongside the Lago di Limo and onto a fascinating route towards the Rifugio, steeped with history from the First World War. Spend the evening in a charming Italian rifugio.
(5 hours biking, 26 miles)
Today you will enjoy cycling past some of the most sensational views on your way to Cortina d’ Ampezzo for lunch. After re-fuelling, an afternoon mountain bike up the eastern flank towards the rifugio for the evening.
(5-6 hours biking, 35 miles)
Visit one of the most ancient castles in the Dolomites and cycle on towards Alta Badia for your final evening, having seen the most famous (and breath-taking!) mountains in the region: the Marmaloda, Sella, and Civetta groups.
