Discover what Daisy got up to on her recent trip to the fabulous Six Senses Zil Payson in the Seychelles
Whether you choose to arrive at Six Senses Zil Pasyon by speedboat or helicopter you will with genuine smiles and warmth on this dramatic but stunning tropical landscape. The scenery really is like nothing else we have seen. Private cottages built within the rocks surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, expect a real contrast of colour which gives the resort its unique loved by the luxury publications we had read before we were lucky enough to experience it with our own eyes.
From the minute we arrived our guest relations manager Sam was on call for anything we needed at any time. Sam, and the whole team really stood out as being so genuinely happy to help and to ensure we made the most out of our stay.
Our panorama pool villa was superb, with stunning views over the crystal blue water, a bathroom to die for, and the privacy and serenity that comes hand in hand with all Six Senses properties.
Breakfast lunch and dinner can be enjoyed either in our villa or in one of the two fabulous beach side restaurants, we made sure to try everything we could – on offer is a mix of traditional Seychellois cuisine as well as takes on other cuisines from around the world. Each dish was perfectly presented and tasted delicious. Not forgetting the personalised cocktails made just for us at sunset each night by the exceptional bar team. An impromptu tasting of local rums and discovering how they are made ended a beautiful day of snorkelling and soaking up the deliciously warm sun!
We couldn’t stay on Felicite island and not jump into the incredible blue water for a spot of snorkelling. The activity centre is always open with recommendations on what there is to do and when best to do it. The array of fish was incredible, so much to see and in such abundance. We even spotted a small shark – not as alarming as you think once you realise it’s just going about its daily business!
Alongside snorkelling, keep active by joining the sunrise yoga classes and exploring the island on foot. You may choose to go slightly further, discovering the local islands by boat. The spa is a must do, we are not surprised that it has won awards – it is stunning. The architecture is in keeping with the whole island and its eco-system, and the extensive lists of treatments needs to be indulged in.
Private island living combined with meticulous attention to detail means this resort is really like no other. The friendly and wonderfully happy team are truly unrivaled. This is the place to go if you are looking to switch off and connect with nature. The perfect spot for a few days before you move to another of Seychelles idyllic islands.
