Amankora Punakha is one of 5 luxury lodges dotted across central western Bhutan, owned and operated by the legendary Aman Resorts, so guaranteeing a blissfully luxurious holiday experience in the ethereal Kingdom of Bhutan.
Reached via a suspension bridge over the Mo Chhu River, the Amankora Punakha Lodge incorporates a traditional Bhutanese farmhouse built by a former Je Khenpo (chief abbot of Bhutan). The eight exceptionally spacious suites are identical in design to those of Amankora Paro, with views across an orange orchard and rice terraces. The suites all have king sized bed, banquette window seat, traditional wood-burning stove and a terrazzo-clad bathtub.
All suites at Amankora Punakha are huge, styled with a combination of wood and black steel walls creating an air of ultra-modern chic.
Amankora Punakha is about a 4 hour drive from Bhutan’s airport. Fly into Bhutan from Delhi, Bangkok or Singapore.
