The hotel’s lovely tropical grounds include an ornamental lake and are surrounded by woodland with a small creek below. Monkeys, sloths and toucans can be spotted about the place and there are outstanding views of the volcano from most of the individual cottages which comprise its guest accommodation. The style is defined by rustic, minimalist but high-quality luxury: each cottage is spacious with wooden floors, exquisite four poster beds, a private veranda and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Rooms also have a secluded outdoor shower in a private rear garden area.
All or the 50 rooms at Arenal Nayara are free-standing, which make them private and romantic. The Deluxe Casitas have a king bed with a canopy or two double beds, a wooden deck, jacuzzi and hammocks and a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower. The Rainforest Villas are more spacious with a King size canopied bed, enormous bathrooms with stunning indoor and outdoor showers and wrap-around decks with a jacuzzi and hammock. Added extras include free international phone calls in all of the rooms and complimentary laundry when staying in a Villa.
15 hour international flight to San José, followed by a 3 hour road transfer. Alternatively, you can fly from San José to Arenal La Fortuna, which is 15 minutes from Arenal Nayara.
