Siting just metres from the waves, Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is a curving structure of muted grey and cedarwood cladding. Large picture windows make the most of the region’s incredible coastal views, with whale sightings not unheard of.
The on-site Drift Spa has an extensive treatment list, including massages, facials, pedicures and fire cupping. It also contains an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. Dining takes place in the contemporary stylings of the Currents Restaurant. The Big Beach Lounge provides a more informal space for a fireside drink or light meal. There is also an excellent wine cellar.
Black Rock Oceanfront Resort is an all-suites resort contains 133 suites. Each has a picture window with views of either the forest of Pacific Ocean. Suites are decorated neutrally and accented with wood and stone.
Studio suites average 44m2 and feature a king-sized bed, kitchenette with microwave/convection oven and small fridge. One-bedroom suites are around 70m2, contain a king-sized bed and pull-out couch in the living room. They have a fully-equipped kitchen. Two-bedroom suites are similar, but have a king-sized bed in both bedrooms alongside two en suite bathrooms. They average 102m2. All suites have a balcony as standard.
