A good quality lodge (though not super luxurious) in the Kruger National Park, conveniently located close to Leopard Creek, one of the finest golf courses in the world and ranked No.1 in South Africa. Frankly, it’s the proximity to Leopard Creek that allows Bahula Lodge to make it on to our portfolio of recommended places to stay.
The lodge is within 15 minutes of the Gary Player designed Leopard Creek Golf Course. The course is world renowned and brings a new meaning to the word hazard, as much of the water on the course is home to crocodiles.
Buhala is a thatched lodge on the Crocodile River in the world-famous Kruger National Park. The panoramic views down to the river provide the opportunity to see the animals come and drink and play by the riverside.
Buhala Lodge has 10 fully air conditioned double rooms and two elephant suites. The main rooms all have en suite facilities and free standing showers as well as balconies overlooking the river. The Elephant suites are separate from the hotel and share a plunge pool and each has their own veranda which overlooks the Kruger. They have indoor and outdoor showers as well as a bath in a bedroom with stunning views across the Kruger and the river.
