Set within a pine forest, on the north-western slopes of one of Greece’s most celebrated capes in the Attica region, the Cape Sounio offers breathtaking views of the Temple of Poseidon and out across the bay, part of the family run Grecotel hotel group.
With its peaceful location spanning 75 acres on the edge of a national park, it is hard to imagine that you are just an hour from the centre of the hectic and historic city of Athens.
The stylish, contemporary rooms are spread across the hillside in bungalows and villas, many with private pools and gardens. Shaded stone paths lined with olive trees and palms separate the rooms and provide additional privacy and exclusivity.
The resort’s 124 terracotta coloured bungalows and 29 private villas are set along shaded, stone paved paths framed by olive trees and palms. All accommodation enjoys large luxurious bathrooms and private terraces. Some of the more prestigious bungalows and villas also have a private pool. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, and WiFi.
Cape Sounio lies at the southernmost tip of mainland Greece and is the gateway to the Aegean Islands, just over an hour from central Athens.
The closest airport is Athens which well served by British Airways (Heathrow) and Easyjet (Gatwick). The flying time is approximately 3.5 hours. Cape Sounio is a one hour drive from the airport.
