This is one of our favourite properties in the area, with its charming, smart but rustic, French-styled interior. Both bedrooms are ensuite, one is double and one twin bedded. The double bedroom has majestic views and opens out on to the pool deck. Whilst it’s only a plunge pool, it feels perfect for this cosy cottage. There are four sun loungers, an outdoor shower and loo, and – for the golfer – a practise tee for limbering up on before heading out on to a local course!

It is a 1h 50 drive to Franschhoek from Cape Town International Airport.
