OPENING IN 2024
Amidst the rising trend of adventure travel, Six Senses Svart presents a unique opportunity to not only explore nature but actively contribute to its preservation. This avant-garde retreat showcases how travellers can enjoy a net-zero environmental impact journey without compromising on modern luxuries. From zero-waste dining experiences to a diverse array of activities such as hiking, ice-climbing, night-fishing, witnessing the enchanting Aurora Borealis in winter, and indulging in yoga under the midnight sun during the summer, Six Senses Svart promises a transformative experience that fosters a deeper connection with the environment and imparts a profound sense of tranquility.
The resort’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond guest experiences to the very core of its existence. Cutting-edge design and superior craftsmanship come together to create a unique environment, fulfilling a responsibility to maintain a sustainable destination. Six Senses Svart’s operations are optimised to harness solar energy, ensuring a net-zero impact on the environment. This includes powering the hotel, adjacent operations, boat shuttle, and even the energy required for the building’s construction, making it independent from the conventional power grid.
Nestled within Norway’s Meløy municipality, along the Helgeland coastline and just above the Arctic Circle, Six Senses Svart enjoys a breathtaking setting close to Bodø and the renowned Lofoten. Perched atop the crystal-clear waters of the Holandsfjorden fjord, at the base of the Svartisen glacier – Norway’s second-largest glacier – the resort offers a year-round adventure playground. The glacier is open for exploration from late May to late September, while the optimal months to witness the Aurora Borealis are from late September to early April during the extended polar night.
This exceptional retreat serves as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of luxury and sustainability, leaving visitors with not only lasting memories of their adventures but also a sense of contributing to the preservation of the pristine landscapes they explore.
