The Oswego Hotel’s décor is neutral in tone, allowing natural sunlight to bounce around its interiors from the large windows. But although largely finished in pure brilliant white, it does not lack sophistication or ambience. In fact, traditional west coast architecture of bare cedarwood beams and stone clad fireplaces marry perfectly with the otherwise modern public areas.
This is a hotel which revels in its urban location close to Beacon Hill Park, Ogden Point and Fisherman’s Wharf. The Oswego’s range of modern amenities include a fitness centre and a private garden for guests to relax in. Its Bar 500 restaurant serves up Italian-inspired cuisine throughout the day. The smell of freshly-ground coffee permeates the early hours, while salmon with garlic butter is typical of the evening menu.
An all-suite hotel, the Oswego has 80 suites in total. They feature queen-sized beds and bathrooms with a soaker bathtub, separate shower and locally-produced eco-friendly toiletries.
Studio suites average 39m2 and contain a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and stovetop hob. 56m2 one and 74m2 two-bedroom suites contain a fully-equipped kitchen with full-sized appliances. Most suites also have a balcony with partial city or ocean views.
