The Ranch at Palazzo Fiuggi is one of Europe’s finest luxury fitness clinics. Its holistic programme takes place at Palazzo Fiuggi, a historic hilltop property in its own private 81,000m2 grounds. Fifty minutes from Rome, its mineral waters have been celebrated since the fourteenth century.
A fully renovated restorative retreat opened in 2021, Palazzo Fiuggi comprises a grand mansion-like building. It was originally constructed in 1913 in the art nouveau style, which has been preserved while providing all the modern comforts you would expect from such a stay.
The Ranch at Palazzo Fiuggi is known for its transformative week-long wellness programme. This aims to create a feeling of rest and rejuvenation in both body and mind. It manages this through a series of sessions created by a team of doctors and fitness professionals. A day can therefore include everything from massages and yoga, to core fitness classes and hikes amid the century old trees around the property. Sessions take place in a space reserved solely for Ranch guests.
Facilities at The Ranch at Palazzo Fiuggi are understandable luxe. There is a diagnostic medical clinic providing testing alongside a 400m2 fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, a large spa features thalassotherapy baths, whirlpool, sauna and Turkish baths. It overlooks a large outdoor pool. Healthy, plant-based menus are prepared by the kitchen of the three Michelin star chef Heinz Beck.
The Ranch is limited to just 25 guests at any one time and available April to December. A shorter 4-day programme is available year-round.
Accommodation has views of either the parkland grounds or Fiuggi old town. Bathed in natural light, rooms have a contemporary style which marries rather than contrasts with the history of the building. Open-plan rooms range in size from 30-38m2 and feature a bedroom/living area. Some also have a balcony.
