Weather and when to go

The Spring is lovely in Provence with temperatures in their twenties and few crowds. August is the peak of the French holidays, and the hottest month of the year punching into the thirties, July is often less crowded but still in the holiday season and a little cooler. All the hotels, restaurants and attractions are open until September when it is quieter and the temperature is still in the mid-twenties.
