In the same time zone as Europe, despite being a 9 hour flight.  A long way to travel but utterly worthwhile when you get there.  We are featuring three stunning properties, all overlooking the mighty Zambezi River, and just a few kilometres up stream from the Victoria Falls.

Zambia is worth a visit in its own right, but many prefer to include a visit on the way to or from South Africa.  It's a short hop from Johannesburg.

Choose from barefoot chic on a private island in the Zambezi, or a luxurious riverside lodge or a fabulous 4 bedroom family home.  All are owned and operated by our friends at Tongabezi and they are all utterly gorgeous.

Combine your stay with some walking and bird watching, some canoeing down the river or, for some adrenalin pumping action, try some white water rafting on arguably the world's best stretch of white water.  The Zambezi River is, of course, where you'll find the mighty Victoria Falls, about 10kms downstream from our recommended places to stay.

Zambia is a great destination all year round, but we can advise you on the weather etc. for whenever you would like to travel.
