The weather and seasons in the desert areas around Tuscon and Phoenix, where our featured dude ranch is located, is somewhat different to other parts of Arizona.
The desert area is extremely hot in the summer months from June to August with temperatures regularly above 100F / 40C, and in the depths of winter it drops to a mere 41F / 5C with average highs of 66F /19C. We suggest that the best months to visit are April, May, June and October when the weather is not too hot during the day, there’s little if any rain and it doesn’t get too cold at night.
