Wyoming is the 10th largest US state, but the least populous and the second least densely populated of the 50 United States. It’s a place of vast contrasts and offers visitors a real, natural, wilderness experience. It’s a fabulous place from Spring to Autumn or, if you’re a skier, a popular destination for those in the know.

During your stay at our recommended luxury resort in Wyoming – Amangani, near Jackson Hole – the year-round temperature range is 2°F to 25°F (January), 22°F to 48°F (April), 41°F to 81°F (July) and 24°F to 57°F (October).
Spring, from late April to June, is marked by mild days and cold nights, with some rain and occasional snow. It is in spring that newborn elk, moose, bison and bears start appearing.
Summers offer warm days and cool nights and a profusion of brightly coloured wildflowers. In autumn, the aspen and cottonwood run gold and red. The days are sunny, with cold nights. Rain eventually gives way to snow.
Winter brings with it enough deep snow to keep a skier happy well into April. It also brings the elk to the valley. They come down from the mountains by the thousands to the National Elk Refuge, which lies at the very edge of town.
