These are some of the other classes offered at Phulay Bay
Hatha Yoga: This branch of yoga focuses on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama) and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing out a deep sound, healthy body and a peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations that work to make the spine supple and improve circulation in the body. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.
Candle Yoga: Candle Light Yoga is a fantastic breathing and stretching activity to promote within healing while emphasizing the importance of flexibility. Each stretch or position is static so participants can relax while improving ranges of motion across the entire body. Candles, aroma therapy oils and relaxing music are used to completely unwind your mind.
Yin Yoga: Drawn from Taoist tradition, this practice explores the body’s most subtle energies. Postures are slow and held for several minutes to encourage lengthening and deep release in the connective tissue, cultivating a peaceful and meditative mind. Recommended for pregnant women.
Yogilates: A mix of Vinyasa flow and Pilates mat work. Perfect for people who love the fast pace of Vinyasa flow to promote sweat but also aimed to build core strength to Pilates.
Kids Yoga: This is a fun and creative first approach to yoga. Using animal poses and basic stretching exercises, the class promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Children will improve their level of concentration and will stimulate their imagination while releasing energy in a safe and fun environment. Suitable for 4 year olds upwards.
Guests can also enjoy meditation classes, particularly as this is one of the most traditional practices in Thailand. Meditation is an old tradition performed by monks at the temple and can be practiced by anyone regardless of physical condition or age. Learn about self control and soul exploration with the instructors.
