Anassa

The Anassa provides a terrific selection of accommodation options to meet any and all guests requirements. The  main building has rooms and suites, some with a private pool; and there are individual residence suites located throughout the grounds with a terrace or balcony, and some of these also have private pools.

There’s a tremendous amount of activities and adventures on offer at the resort and nearby.  On site, you can play tennis or squash or workout in the gym.  Alternatively, go sailing, windsurfing, diving or water skiing.  Near to the hotel, you can head out in to the hills for some hiking or mountain biking adventures.

And, once you’ve had enough exercise, you can head to the Anassa’s highly regarded Thalassa Spa for some rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.  The Thalassa Spa includes a sky-lit, columned indoor pool, 18 treatment rooms, saunas, steam baths, a seawater exercise pool and hair salon.

The Anassa is closed, each year, from mid November to early March.

Children of all ages are made very welcome at Anassa. Situated in a cool, shady location between the beach and the heated children’s pool, the Explorer children’s club (four months to 12 years old), has a dedicated sleep room, kitchen, spacious indoor area with carefully divided sections for different age groups and a shaded playground. The child carers and Rangers offer play and action packed days.  Explorers is open from Easter to October, 9.30am to 5.30pm, six days per week, Thursday to Tuesday (closed Wednesday).

The dedicated hangout area for teenagers is in the main hotel building.  The teenager opening hours are more flexible and there is evening entertainment for two nights per week in July and August for children aged eight years and older.

A children’s menu is available in both the Amphora and Pelagos restaurants. The Anassa also has their Baby Go Lightly services that gives parents the opportunity to order all manner of baby items on-line prior to arrival. Places at the children’s club must be pre booked, and payment is required at time of booking. Costs include most on and off site activities, drinks, snacks, lunch and high tea.

The crèche at the Anassa is for children aged between 4 months – 4 years 11 months and is open from 09.30 – 17.30 every day except Wednesdays.  The children are divided into two age groups, the Globetrotters and Adventurers. The crèche provides a varied daily activity programme for each age group filled with lots of fun and exciting activities. For the younger guests, there is a specially designed sleep room, nappy changing area and children’s bathroom. Under 5s are to be supervised by their parents.

The kids’ club is for children aged 5-13 years old and is open from 09.30 – 17.30 every day except Wednesdays.  Activities are divided into two age groups

The children spend much of their time out and about making the most of the exciting activities and sporting facilities in the resort. Elements of Cypriot culture and tradition are transferred in a fun and interactive way for children to learn and discover, like trying out the local Cypriot dance moves and finding out what is growing in the kitchen garden.  During peak times there’s also evening activities such as discos, movie night, spy night, fashion and talent shows.

The Teen Club is for children aged 13 onwards and is open from 09.30 – 17.30 every day except Wednesdays, but only in July and August.  Located at Escape, a dedicated urban graffiti designed hang-out for teenagers featuring a pool/table tennis table, Nintendo wii and darts as well as a chill out area for catching up with friends and watching the big screen. Supervised excursions, activities and watersports are organised on request and at a charge.

Baby Go Lightly gives parents the opportunity to order all manner of baby items on-line prior to arrival. Available items include: car seat for airport transfers, potties, training seats, high chairs, carriers, buggies, bottles and teats, sterilisers, bottle warmers, baby gyms, baby walkers, baby bathtubs, dry/swimming nappies, nappy bins, toiletries (including baby lotion, powder and wet wipes), swimming aids, crayons, colouring books and a range of story books and DVDs.

Babysitters are available.  A maximum of 3 children is allowed per babysitter.  Hotel babysitters include Kids Club staff and external babysitters, all have experience working with children and have CRB/DBS police checks. Pre-booking babysitting is recommended during peak season.

Kids Club Staff qualifications:  The Childcare team is fully qualified with specialist experience in addition to First Aid & Pool safety qualifications. The nannies have varied qualifications from Level 3 in Childcare, NNEB, qualified pre-school teachers, to degrees in Childhood Studies and Early Years Professional. All nannies have several years’ experience working with babies and children. All the staff speak English.
