The hotel is located in a quiet, residential area of the island, but is just 5 minutes from the capital Palma de Mallorca and the fashionable Puerto Portals marina. There’s also easy access to the numerous golf courses in the area.
Hospes Maricel features comfortable and bright rooms with views of either the mountains or the sea. The contemporary eco rooms are set apart from the main hotel building, but are beautifully styled with native stone walls and parquet floors.
The hotel offers a wide selection of rooms and suites, with 51 rooms in two buildings – the Palace or Eco-Maricel Annex – located next to the Royal Palace, the summer home of the Spanish Royal family. The ‘Palace’ is a classic building built in 1950 with 29 rooms. It is the location of the restaurant and reception. The Palace Building is the original building and is located by the water. The Eco-Maricel building was completed in 2008 with 22 rooms, and the spa is in an adjacent building. The annex connects seamlessly to the Palace via an under-pass ‘tunnel’.
