phuket

phuket thailand

Phuket, pronounced (roughly) "pu-ged", is Thailand's largest island with lots of gorgeous beaches.

It's 48km long and 21km wide at its widest point and is in Southern Thailand, on the west facing Andaman Sea coastline, suspended from the southern tip of Phang Nga Province by a pair of short but substantial road bridges.

The island has some absolutely stunning beaches and some awesome views of the magical limestone islands that were made famous in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun.

Phuket is a short flight down from Bangkok and many international flights connect with the Phuket flight.  And both Trisara and Banyan Tree are easily accessible.

However, once you get to Phuket there's a helicopter ride (5 minutes) or motor boat trip (60 minutes) still required to get you to our hand-picked spa resort at Yao Noi  But at least you'll arrive in style!

Weather and when to go

Due to its proximity to the equator there is little variation in temperatures throughout the year with an average annual high of 32°C and a low of 24°C. Phuket has a dry season that runs from December through to March and a wet season that covers the other eight months.
