Snorkelling on the Datca Peninsula

Our featured destinatin on the Datca Peninsula is the fabulous D-Hotel on Turkey’s gorgeous south coast.  And it’s a great base for lots of snorkelling…

D-Hotel has 5 beaches and two in particular offer excellent snorkelling.  From the Bay pier you can see lots of fish and beautiful rock formations, whilst further round the bay there’s the Coliseum jetty giving easy access to more underwater adventures.  The hotel has a delightful little electric powered boat that constantly shuttles between beaches, so everywhere is easy to get to.  Just hop aboard and off you go.

If you want to venture further out along the coastline or, better still, out to Rabbit Island in the bay, that’s easy too.  Just grab yourself a kayak and head out with your snorkelling gear.

The water is wonderfully warm and visibility is excellent.
