This is a well established deluxe resort, combining superb beaches and extensive facilities. Kanuhura is located on the secluded island of Lhaviyana, 45 minutes by sea plane north of Male.
Kanuhura is one of the larger islands yet is still just a diminutive 1,000 metres long and 200 metres across. Each of the 95 thatched roof villas offer plenty of indoor and outdoor space, as well as an outdoor bathroom. The Beach Villas are just yards away from the water’s edge and the Water Villas are built on stilts at the end of the wooden walkway.
Particularly family-friendly are the Duplex Beach Villas which will accommodate two adults and up to three children. Early booking is essential.
A tennis/squash instructor is available as a playing partner or for coaching sessions.
The Water Sports Centre is a member of the internationally recognised Association of Windsurfing Schools in Germany, or VDWS (Verband Deutscher Windsurf und Wassersport Schulen e.v). With the very best in qualified instructors and water sports equipment, guests are assured of a safe and fun time on the various excursions and lessons that are offered.
The Beach Villas are just yards away from the water’s edge, with the option of either sunrise or sunset views. The Water Villas are on stilts at the end of the wooden walkway, with private sundecks and steps that lead down into the lagoon. The Duplex Beach Villas are two individual interconnecting Beach Villas and perfect for families.
The Kanuhura Private Retreat has a secluded location with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living area, private pool and garden and is also ideal for families.
It is a 40 minute seaplane to Kanuhura from Male international airport.
