Perched high on the cliffs 1,000 feet above the Mediterranean, Palazzo Avino (formerly Palazzo Sasso) makes the most of its sensational location with light and airy interiors and stunning views from almost every room.
Palazzo Avino was originally built as a private villa for an Italian noble family and still retains many of its original features. If you can tear yourself away from relaxing by the pool and enjoying the views, the hotel offers cooking lessons as well as horse-riding, tennis and scuba diving. A boat trip along the coast or across to Capri is also highly recommended or you could head down to the hotel’s private beach club to soak up the sun. The beach club, which includes a small swimming pool and a casual restaurant, is located in the small town of Marmorata, a 15 minutes drive from Ravello. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service throughout the day.
Each of the 43 elegant rooms and suites are decorated with hand made Vietri tiles, antique carpets and furniture from the 18th and 19th centuries. All rooms feature satellite TV, a minibar, iPod docking station and Bulgari amenities. Rooms come with either a mountain or sea view and all suites have a full sea view with either a balcony or terrace.
The hotel is a 1 hour and 15 minutes transfer from Naples Airport by private car.
