Uma means ‘living house’ in Balinese, and COMO Uma Ubud is a relaxed retreat, a contemporary home from home on the edge of the arty town of Ubud with a boutique wellness spa, complimentary yoga classes and tropical jungle views.
Light and airy suites offer views of lush gardens or the inspiring Tjampuhan valley, and design is understated with pretty finishes, all pale wood, soft lighting, white voile drapes and subtly embroidered bedspreads. Locally sourced, Balinese-inspired food is served at the Kemiri restaurant, where we especially enjoyed the COMO Shambhala menu for the mainly veggie and organic dishes packed with nutrition.
Terrace Rooms: These are bright and airy featuring a four-poster bed. Large French doors open onto a private terrace overlooking Uma Ubud’s gardens. The bathroom has a sunken bath and outdoor shower. (45sqm)
Uma Ubud is hidden on the fringe of Ubud, a small town and Bali’s cultural hub, overlooking the Tjampuhan Valley.
