Spring (April, May, June) and autumn (September and October) are beautiful months to visit the Italian Lakes as it is less crowded and the weather is still lovely. In July and August it is much hotter, so great for sunbathing by the water, but it is also much busier and prices are higher. We would avoid the area between November and March (unless on an indoor focussed wellness or spa programme) as it is much cooler and many hotels and restaurants are closed.
