Sen Wellness Sanctuary is located in a pristine National Park; surrounded by nature, this wellness retreat offers a place of escape for all of its guests. Inspired by nature, spiritual healing, nourishment and friendship, Sen Wellness Sanctuary was created by the Sen Wellness Clinic, an established holistic clinic in London, to promote self-healing and nourishment for all visitors wishing to experience a true wellness retreat. The Sanctuary’s wellness retreats offer yoga, meditation, acupuncture, osteopathy, Ayurveda and more.
The Sanctuary has been designed in harmony with its surroundings: an untouched National Park and a pristine beach, with nearby sea turtle nesting sites. Accommodation is only a walk away from the beach, comprised of cabanas, and in total accommodating up to 16 guests at a time (adults only).
The yoga shala overlooks the treetops and is kept cool by the sea breeze. Activities include yoga classes, group healing sessions and dance and music workshops. Thirty minutes from the Sanctuary is the town of Tangalle where watersports and whale watching is on offer, as well as local food markets.
The cabanas have been sensitively designed with respect to this natural environment and to protect the amazing wildlife. Everything is built on stilts to allow the flow of animal migration, and all exteriors and interiors are of local craftsmanship using local materials, sensitive to the beautiful natural home of the Sanctuary. The bathrooms are open to the elements so guests can experience a shower whilst star gazing.
Direct flights from London to Colombo are about 11 hours. It then takes about three hours to drive to Sen Wellness Sanctuary, which is located 10km from the town of Tangalle.
