Road Biking in Cape Town

South Africa is a large country. This might be stating the obvious to some, but you’d be surprised how many visitors don’t realise just how big it is! The wonderful thing about having so much land, rich in diverse beauty, is that we have many fabulous open roads to enjoy on bikes.
Come ride with our professional cyclists and guides who will show off our country while you clock up some base-miles. Luckily the scenery is so gorgeous, your mind won’t be worrying too much on the pumping legs as you climb up incredible passes such as the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive in Cape Town (above) and the enjoy the freewheel down into Hout Bay.

If you are training for any particular race, our pro guides can assist you with your training programme and ensure you get the daily mileage you need whilst still getting to explore destinations such as the beautiful winelands, the wide-open farmlands of the Overberg or the dramatic coastal roads of the Garden Route.  If you don’t want to bring your own bike over, we have a great choice of excellent bikes to rent for your duration of your stay.

For beginners, we can tailor fabulous rides around Cape Town – following part of the route of the famous Cape Argus Cycle tour perhaps – or winding through the winelands of some of South Africa’s best wine estates. Day trips including lunch breaks at interesting venues, or even longer overnight itineraries can be designed around your interests and pace.  South Africa also has a great calendar of road cycling events which we’d be happy to assist you plan your excursions around and peak your fitness levels in time for the races!
